Save our Children's Hospices
There are around 23,500 families in the UK with children who are not expected to reach adulthood because they have a life-limiting condition. Most families are not in a position to pay for the round-the-clock care their child will need, and often a parent will have to leave their job to care for their child full-time. Children's hospices give these children and their families much needed respite, care and support… free of charge. Without them, these children would need to be cared for by Children's Hospitals at a direct cost to the government and local health authorities.
Amazingly, children's hospices are almost entirely reliant on public generosity to fund their incredible work; many often struggle to raise the funds to continue to provide the care they offer.
Back our campaign - add your name to our petition
We urge you to back the ACF's campaign to change government policy on funding children's hospices; add your name to our online petition below, asking the government to pledge a decent percentage of our children's hospices running costs. This will make a crucial difference to these remarkable places and the terminally ill children they support
